چکیده

Ring-diagram analysis is a technique of local helioseismology used to infer plasma flows in the solar convection zone which generates intermediate data products known as ring-fitting parameters. Knowing the sensitivity of ringfitting parameters to actual flows in the Sun is important for interpreting these measurements.Working in plane-parallel geometry, we compute the linear sensitivity of ring-fitting parameters to small changes in the local power spectrum and then compute the sensitivity of the power spectrum to time-independentweak local flows. We combine these two results to obtain the three-dimensional Frechet kernels that give the linear sensitivity of ring-fitting parameters to both vertical and horizontal localmass flows.Wefind that ringmeasurements are essentially only sensitive to flows that arewithin the spatial region for which the ring diagram is computed. In addition, we find that the depth dependence of the sensitivity is essentially given by the mode kinetic energy density, as has traditionally been assumed. We show that the exact form of the sensitivity of ring measurements depends on the details of the fitting procedure. Helioseismic Travel-Time Definitions and Sensitivity to Horizontal Flows Obtained From Simulations of Solar Convection

We study the sensitivity of wave travel times to steady and spatially homogeneous horizontal flows added to a realistic simulation of the solar convection performed by Robert F. Stein, Ake Nordlund, Dali Georgobiani, and David Benson. Three commonly used definitions of travel times are compared. We show that the relationship between travel-time difference and flow amplitude exhibits a non-linea...

Predicting Mobility of Sands in the Future Based on Sensitivity Analysis Test (Case Study: Manjil City)

Sand dunes are one of the most important and sensitive wind erosion susceptible landforms whose activity varies depending on the severity of the impact of various climatic and terrestrial factors. Long-term monitoring of these factors, along with the mobility status of sand sands in different areas, can have a significant effect on reducing their adverse effects. One of the sensitive areas of w...

Presentation of quasi-linear piecewise selected models simultaneously with designing of bump-less optimal robust controller for nonlinear vibration control of composite plates

The idea of using quasi-linear piecewise models has been established on the decomposition of complicated nonlinear systems, simultaneously designing with local controllers. Since the proper performance and the final system close loop stability are vital in multi-model controllers designing, the main problem in multi-model controllers is the number of the local models and their position not payi...
